Apply a template to a patient

This is where the real work begins — take the template you built, apply it to the patient record, and adjust the meals and portions for their case and preferences. The original template stays untouched, and you work on a patient-specific copy.

What you will learn

  • Apply a saved template to a patient record
  • Customize meals and portions for the case
  • Preview the plan before sharing
01

Create the patient plan

  1. Open the patient record.
  2. Go to Plans and choose Create plan.
  3. Select the right template as your starting point — for example, if the patient needs weight loss, pick the weight-loss template.
  4. Adjust the meals, portions, and instructions for the patient's case — for example, swap a food they do not like, or increase a protein portion if needed.
  5. Save the plan and review the nutrition summary to make sure it matches the goals.
02

The template stays unchanged

Any edit you make inside the patient plan does not affect the source template — the template stays clean and ready to use with other patients. This way you can work freely on each case without worrying about breaking the template.

03

Before sharing

Review the days, quantities, and instructions — make sure they are clear and appropriate for the patient. Then open preview to see the plan the way the patient will see it on mobile or in print. This step saves you from embarrassment if something is missing or unclear.
