Build your clinic food library

Every clinic has foods and recipes it uses often — instead of searching for them every time or typing them from scratch, collect them in your clinic library. This makes searching faster and plans more consistent.

What you will learn

  • Copy foods from the core database to your clinic library
  • Add clinic-specific recipes
  • Define custom measurement units
01

Two food sources

The library shows two sources: your clinic foods (the ones you add) and the USDA general food database (plus curated core foods). Copy what you need from the core source to your clinic, and add your clinic-specific recipes and foods you use often. This way you have a custom library that reflects your workflow.

02

Add a food or recipe

  1. Open Meals.
  2. Choose the relevant food source (clinic foods or core database).
  3. To add a clinic-specific recipe, select New recipe.
  4. Enter the nutrition values per 100g (calories, protein, carbs, fats), and portions (e.g. cup, spoon, gram).
  5. Save the recipe and check that it appears in search results when you build a plan — make sure it is there and clear.
03

Measurement units

From Measurement units you can define the units you use in the clinic — grams, cups, spoons, any custom unit. These units appear when you build a recipe or plan, so set them up once and work comfortably later.
